Book Review #1

Alright lets start this challenge off with a bang, pun intended.

First book I was to read was one I have not read before but have in my possession. So I went scouring through my shelves and found…

Did the intro to this post click now? Good. I LOVED this book. It is fun, romantic, heavy, and insanely funny.

Here are some quotes from the book:

“He was wooing me. And I was letting him woo. I wanted the woo. I deserved the woo. I needed the wow that would surely follow the woo, but for now, the woo? It was whoa.”

– Alice Clayton, Wallbanger

“Simon does commando. God bless America.”

– Alice Clayton, Wallbanger

And then there is this one, that is totally me. Anyone who has ever dated or friends with me knows, I do this too, not just Simon.

“Get your ass over here right now, you motherfucking scary movie pusher.”

– Alice Clayton, Wallbanger

But in all seriousness, there are moments in the book that made me cry (almost did), laugh (which I did, aloud), blush, and made me pause and look around (especially if reading in public) and make sure no one is staring at me like they know what I am reading or why I am blushing or so enraptured by the bickering that the characters have in the book (it is pretty naughty).

I will not spoil the book, but there are times where you will hate Simon, I did, and then there are times where you hate Caroline a little bit. On the other side of things there are so many moments where you absolutely love both characters and want to live their lives (I actually wanted to be an interior designer and almost went to school for it, still love it).

If I had to rate this novel out of 5 stars it would earn a whopping 5! I highly recommend it to any woman who loves a spicy rom-com novel.

There is wit, there is love and there is some heartbreak you feel when you read WALLBANGER by Alice Clayton. It will leave you feeling giddy, light-headed, and definitely wanting more.

And wait...there are more books in this series which you all will definitely be seeing from me after this challenge is over unless I can get it into the challenge somehow that I set for myself in the previous post.

1 book down, 19 more to go!

Happy Reading!
